    Makara Sankrati is the most popular festival of Mayurbhanj district of Orissa, which takes place on 14th January every year. Everybody comes closer to celebrate the festival but the Santals celebrate it in more special way and they called it as "Sakrat Parab".There are many rituals involved with this festival but the most important ritual among them is the "Bejha Tuing" (Bejha = Target; Tuing = to Shoot).
